Drove to meet Jim (who was working of course). He tried to get it out, but nothing...went to an immediate clinic which wasn't very immediate AND they couldn't get the thing to budge:
Do you think he's reconsidering ever putting something in his ear again?!?
With the wasted trip to the immediate care, we ended up at a local ER....not fun on a full moon. (they should make a website like thepeopleofwalmart.com)
After waiting forever in an ER full of sick and battered people, we finally got into a fast track room....here he's looking pretty calm and collected....but once the Dr. came in and started messing with him, he screamed bloody murder!
They ended up papoosing him down...had 2 nurses holding his head while I held his strapped down arms and we got it out!
Riley...are we ever going to do that again? NO!

I hope he learned his lesson! Owie!! Here's to a better day today... :)
They had to papoose Joe when he was about Riley's age to stitch up his knee. With the papoose, two nurses holding down the free leg and me laying across his chest, we finally got the stitches in, so I can totally relate!
Yeah, he had better have learned his lesson! You'd have thought the immediate care would have a papoose...would have saved us, I don't know....$300 (praying for less)!!!!
I laugh...as the mother of a boy who put plastic bb pellets in his ear a few years ago. the ER is a frightening place--they should do a documentary on the people who come through. It made me want to give all the people working there HUGE hugs. But then that might have come off as equally creepy.
It's stories like these that make me grateful I have all girls! I hope the bill doesn't come to too much!
Thanks for stopping by my blog this week! You're welcome any time. ;)
