Sprouting

I can't thank you enough for all of the kind words from my last post...God has really blessed me to have such good friends that remind me of His truths :)

Last night, we went to the early service at church...God just totally spoke to me through that message. It was a constant reminder that even when life is out of control, God it totally in control. Romans 8:28 came to mind, that God works all things for his good. This is The Message paraphrase and it just really seemed to bring hope ~

Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.

I also came to the conclusion that these storms we're weathering are only softening the hard outer shell of the seeds of our dreams. Without the soaking rain, the sprouts would never begin to surface and just die in the dirt.

God always loves a good mystery....keeps us on our toes, I guess....never getting too confident that we "know" what's going on. Paul knew that he was going to preach the gospel in Rome, but what he didn't realize that it would be while in prison......if that would have never happened, how many letters of Paul would fill our hearts? The Jewish people were looking for a mighty conquer, not a baby in a manger to be their savior. How often do we forget the awesome power our God has? Even on my worst day, I am blessed beyond measure....more than I've ever deserved....all because He loves me!

Thanks again for lifting me up....I'm praying blessings upon all of you! Even though I can't see the end result, I know that we are in good hands.

Come back later this week for more on the adventures in milk, some crafting and yes...gardens!

What a good post! Sure enjoyed visiting with you yesterday. We had such a good time! If you ever get to visit the mansion at Allerton, take a picnic along. There's shade along the lake and even picnic tables in various areas. There are bathrooms and walking trails. Great place for 3 boys, and, it's free!

It's all temporary--I was just reading in Hebrews the passage about how we're not citizens of THIS world, so yeah, it's gonna suck.
I love your attitude about perseverance and HOPE!

It was so wonderful to meet you at the gathering of the women folk. What a great group of talented women. I'm encouraging you to set aside 30 min. each day for knitting. It will be good foryou.

The book I was talking about is called, "On the Water, Discovering America in a Row Boat", by Nathaniel Stone. I just loved everthing about this book but especially his appreciation for his adventure and his respect of the people he met. Another good one in this genre that your father might love is called, "River Horse" by William Least-Heat Moon.

Looking forward to meeting you again and seeing at least a small knitting project featured on your blog.
