May Day

For as long as I can remember, we've always done May baskets.....my mom would come home with an armful of daisies or something and we would make construction paper cones and run around the neighborhood!


I've tried to keep this up with the boys.....yes, I know....they're boys.....But...it's good for them to do something nice for their neighbors, especially when they are supposed to do it secretly.


The last few years I've skipped the cut flowers and bought flats of little annuals.....that way they can enjoy them the whole season, not just a few days :)

There was only one snafu making these with the boys this year.....and no, it wasn't the wonderful way he connected his "a" to the "p"!


Someone took May Day a little too literally.....as in MayDay my plane is crashing!


One thing's for sure....with these boys, you just never know what they'll come up with!
